Susan Brown was born in Culpeper, grew up in Manassas and started working in an animal clinic at the age of 14.
At the age of 18 she was licensed as a wildlife rehabilitation specialist and to this day it is a huge passion of hers.
Susan attended Northern Virginia Community College for two years while working part time at a small animal clinic in Manassas, and then returned to working full time as a Veterinary Assistant upon completion.
She has worked at various practices in the Northern Va. area. She was the head surgery technician at a spay/neuter clinic in Fauquier for 13 years.
In her spare time, Susan also became Reiki II certified.
Susan moved to Culpeper in 2003 and attended classes in Alexandria where she was certified as a Patient Care Technician. She then worked in the dialysis unit at Fauquier Hospital, but, as she was missing animals terribly she returned to the animal world as a Veterinary Assistant in 2005 and have been working at veterinary practices ever since.
Susan has one daughter, Anika, who helps care for their menagerie which includes cows, chickens, goats, llamas, dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and squirrels.
