Joannie Thompson is doing a do over- she worked at Piedmont Equine from 2002-2011. She then went to a small animal clinic in Gainesville for 5 years, and is now back in The Plains as head receptionist at the small animal clinic. Joannie is originally from New York, and moved to Virginia in 1993 after living in Boston for 13 years. She has loved horses for as long as she can remember, and did some showing and eventing, but now enjoys riding western. Her favorite vacation is going to a ranch in Wyoming any chance that she gets.
Joannie lives in The Plains with her dogs and cats and her horse, Buddy is around the corner from her. Her son Taylor is in college and will graduate in 2017 with a degree in business, and will try to continue to travel the world. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs and fostering for Lab Rescue.
