Dr. Emily Nutt grew up in Davidson, NC in an animal loving household with cats, dogs, and horses. Her interest in horses began at an early age and increased after attending horse-back riding camp with a close friend. She has enjoyed horse-back riding ever since. Emily attended Kenyon College in Ohio where she earned her BA in biochemistry. Following college, she earned a Masters in Veterinary Public Health earned her DVM at the Ohio State University.
She looks forward to gaining more knowledge and experience in all aspects of equine medicine especially in the areas of diagnostic imaging and lameness. She enjoys spending time with her dog Bentley, gardening and riding horses when not at the clinic. She looks forward to spending her days off exploring the surrounding areas and countryside of Virginia.
