Ellie Sokolow grew up in Rochester, NY and first became interested in horses when she rode her aunt and uncle’s horses at a young age. She worked for a therapeutic riding program as a groom and horse handler and dabbled in english riding lessons on occasion. She attended the University of Buffalo for her undergraduate studies and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. She attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine for the past four years and graduated in May 2017. She is happy to be in the beautiful area of Virginia with her husband Joe, dog Merlin, and cat Marco and is excited to join the Piedmont Equine team and gain a wide rage of experience. In her free time, Dr. Sokolow loves to read, hike, and attend game nights with friends.
