Cari Jones grew up in Falls Church, VA and began riding horses at the age of 8. She competed locally in hunter/jumpers until graduating from high school. Cari attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate studies and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. Prior to veterinary school, she worked at Duke University Medical Center for 2 years as a lab manager and research assistant. Additionally, she managed the lab’s mouse colony. She gradated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in May 2017 and is very excited to be in VA at the PEP for the next year! In her free time, Cari likes to go hiking, paddle boarding, reading and gardening.
