Fellowship 2011-2012
Ashley Hamilton grew up on a small farm in Florida where she began riding before she could even walk. After showing Arabians for many years, she switched to hunter/jumpers to ride for the equestrian team at the University of Florida and worked at a jumper farm in Ocala. She received undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Animal Sciences and decided to remain in Gainesville to attend veterinary school from 2006-2010. She then completed a rotating hospital internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Practice in Lexington, KY. Ashley has a special interest in surgery and anesthesia and is currently doing a Surgical and Critical Care Fellowship at Piedmont. In her free time, she enjoys riding, spending time with her dog Boxster and keeping up with college football (Go Gators)!
Ashley is currently at South Carolina Equine in Camden, SC. We wish her all the best in her new position!
