Dr. Stephanie Wilkinson was born and raised on the small Island of Bermuda. She has been an avid equestrian since the age of 6, competing in the showjumping ring in Bermuda, Canada, Europe and the United States. At the age of 18, she moved to Canada to complete her B.S. Honors degree in Bio-Medical Science from the University of Guelph. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating at the top of her class and finally fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Since completing her Internship with Piedmont Equine in 2017, she has continued to develop her interest and skillset in sports medicine/lameness, although she thoroughly enjoys all facets of equine medicine.
She enjoys going to the barn with her dog, Nova, to visit and ride her young sporthorse, Zayne, on whom she plans to begin competing on in the showjumping ring. Whenever time permits, she enjoys traveling back to her beautiful Island home to visit family and friends and has recently begun providing veterinary services to the equine community there.
