Digital radiographic imaging eliminates the need for film and creates digital images that are viewed on a computer. This allows us to change the x-ray image (contrast, brightness, magnify, etc) to maximize the information available. With the click of a mouse the images can be sent to a specialist for interpretation or referral if needed. It’s also FAST – so it saves time and your pet has to be still a shorter time!
It also allows us to save your pet’s x-rays on a CD to take to a specialists or just have a copy at home for reference (they’re great to show at parties!)
Digital radiology is used extensively in human medicine and now animals will benefit from this leading edge technology.
