Dr. Bethany Hamilton was one of “those kids” who knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age. She grew up in Greenville, SC and started working in a local animal hospital in high school, then continued on this career path throughout college. She graduated from Clemson with a B.S. in Biology in 2003, took a year off to immerse herself in the veterinary clinic and surf in the Outerbanks full time while applying to veterinary schools. Ultimately, she attended the University of South Carolina Veterinary Program to become a DVM.
