Q: How long have you been employed at RAC?
Dr. Kremer: Since May 2018.
Q: What were your initial thoughts when you got the acceptance at RAC? How did you and your family react to you becoming part of RAC?
Dr. Kremer: I was very excited and honored that a clinic was willing to take me on as a new graduate veterinarian.
Q: Where are you from and what brought you to North Idaho?
Dr. Kremer: I grew up in Belleview, WA, went to undergrad at Oregon State, then vet school at Washington State in Pullman. My husband is from Idaho, so we decided to stay here after graduating.
Q: Do you enjoy working with who you work with?
Dr. Kremer: Of course! Everyone at RAC is so caring and compassionate towards our patients and clients, and we work very well as a team.
Q: Most memorable/funny/favorite moment at RAC?
Dr. Kremer: Anytime Basset Hound puppies come in – they’re the best!
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Dr. Kremer: I’m a homebody, so being at home, puttering around. Also camping, fishing, and hunting with my husband. And reading.
Q: What is the funniest think you’ve done in North Idaho?
Dr. Kremer: We go on an annual summer camping trip with friends.
Q: Do you have any pets?
Dr. Kremer: 3 cats – Annie, Bubba, and Munchkin. 2 dogs – Junebug and Lugo.
Q: What’s the most exciting adventure you’ve been on in your life?
Dr. Kremer: My husband and I lived in an extremely rustic log cabin for 2 years while we built our forever home.
Q: What is your greatest achievement and what did it take to achieve it?
Dr. Kremer: Getting into vet school and graduating has been my greatest accomplishment. It was so much work and dedication but very worth it!
Q: If you could go back in time, what would you change or do differently?
Dr. Kremer: I think I would’ve more seriously considered doing a veterinary internship and residency if I could do it all again.
Q: What is your favorite movie and genre?
Dr. Kremer: I’m not a movie person, but I love TV. My current favorites from each genre are: Comedy – Schitt’s Creek, Reality – MasterChef, and Drama – Peaky Blinders.
Q: What is your favorite type of music?
Dr. Kremer: I enjoy Country, Texas Country, Bluegrass, and Pop!
Q: What is your favorite color?
Dr. Kremer: I enjoy all colors in the right context!
Q: What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Dr. Kremer: I live over an hour away from the clinic. The drive is so worth is to have peace, quiet, and privacy.
Q: What is your favorite animal and why?
Dr. Kremer: I love cats. They’re independent yet often lovey, little but strong, and incredibly resilient creatures!
Q: What would you like to say to your coworkers, clients, pets, and community?
Dr. Kremer: Thank you for trusting me with your beloved pets. I truly care about each and every one of them.
