Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy
At Huntsville Animal Hospital, we employ exercise and physiotherapy techniques for many of our post-operative patients to help them rehabilitate and return to normal activities more quickly. Many studies have demonstrated that return to normal functioning occurs much more rapidly, and with fewer complications, if physiotherapy is instituted in the post-operative care plan for the pet. This is particularly true after orthopedic injuries and surgeries. We have comprehensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation regimes for all orthopedic surgery patients and discuss and demonstrate these techniques in detail for our surgical patients and their owners.
