After arriving home from Fluffy’s surgery it’s up to you to continue the post-op care. One of the main concerns owners have after surgery is the well-being of the incision site, so one of the easiest ways to help the healing progress is to put a e-collar on Fluffy.
Now most owners hate to see their poor pooch or kitty have to wear one, they crash into corners, knock everything over and just look down right angry with us. However, if Fluffy is able to lick that incision to their hearts content, then most owners end up back at the doctors office with an infected incision requiring antibiotics or it’s opened up and needs to be closed again.
So however Fluffy tries to con you into taking the cone off, just remember that your doing better by them by keeping it on so they don’t end up back at the doctors office needing to wear on for longer!
