Orthopedic surgery refers to surgery of skeletal system, including bone, tendon, ligament and disc surgery. There are many common injuries and congenital diseases that require orthopedic surgery including back disc surgery (similar to a slipped disc in a person’s back), hip dysplasia, bone fractures, and ligament tearing. Many commonly occurring orthopedic conditions can be treated and surgically corrected at our hospital. In situations where more extensive surgical intervention or expertise is required, we can have a Board Certified Referral Surgical Specialist come to our hospital to perform the surgery or have the pet referred to their surgical facility.
