Over the last two years Dr. Christine Miller (Dr. Chris) has been an amazing associate veterinarian at Harmony Veterinary Center (HVC). She has helped all of us through the pandemic and move and resettling in 2021. She has also advanced her knowledge and practice in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), helping many pets improve the quality of their lives.
Dr. Chris’ first love is TCVM and our sad news is that she has accepted a full-time position at Canine Rehabilitation and Conditioning Center (CRCG) in Broomfield. Our happy news is that she will only be 15 minutes away from Harmony and will be able to continue to see Harmony Veterinary Center patients for TCVM consults and treatment on a referral basis at the CRCG facility. Dr. Chris will no longer be seeing patients for general medicine. Your pet can remain under the care of Dr. Carly or Dr. Brown for general medical needs at HVC.
Dr. Chris’ last day at HVC will be Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She states “I have really enjoyed the last two years at Harmony Veterinary Center and it was a tough decision, but this opportunity will allow me to focus 100% on my passion for TCVM and rapidly expand on my knowledge and skill set.” Dr. Chris is one of the best TCVM practitioners we have ever met and we are very happy that she will be going to a place nearby to advance her skill sets.
After June 14, you are welcome to follow Dr. Chris to CRCG for continued TCVM services, i.e. acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and food therapy. Her first day at CRCG is Wednesday, July 6, 2022. We are currently uncertain of the prices for the latter services at CRCG but do anticipate they might be a bit higher than Harmony Veterinary Center. Please note that she will no longer be providing general practice services such as bloodwork, urinalysis, x-rays, vaccinations, western medication, etc. as these are not available at CRCG, Harmony can take care of these general type of services and we will maintain a collaborative relationship with Dr. Chris to support your pet.
If you currently have an acupuncture package at Harmony Veterinary Center you have the following options:
- Complete the remaining acupuncture sessions before Dr. Chris transfers to CRCG
- Complete your package with Dr. Brown
- Refund with a credit on your account for the unused acupuncture sessions on the package
If your pet is currently taking Chinese herbal medicine, your pet will need to follow Dr. Chris to CRCG and have regular follow-ups as recommended in order to continue Chinese herbal medicine. Refills will not be provided without these continued follow-ups as Chinese herbal medicine can cause harm if your pet is not examined in-person regularly. Dr. Brown is willing to temporarily refill your pet’s Chinese herbal medicine while the transition is taking place between June 14 and July 6. Please call or email Harmony Veterinary Center for a refill between June 14 and July 6.
If your pet is currently receiving Food Therapy, your pet will need to follow Dr. Chris to CRCG and have regular, in-person follow-ups as recommended in order to receive counseling, advice, and meal modifications.
It has been a pleasure our pleasure serving you and your pet with Dr. Chris. We know that professional friendships and bonds will continue well into the future for the benefit of you and your pet.
