We are Amanda and Erin…colleagues, friends, and pet parents! We are excited to be opening a new clinic in the wonderful and vibrant Danforth neighborhood. We know firsthand that your pet is a loved family member and we strive to treat them as our own. From the moment they walk through our door, we have their best interests at heart. We are proud to be locally owned and operated.
Welcome to Broadview Veterinary Hospital, your local veterinarians in East Toronto
Erin moved into the neighbourhood in 2015 from the west end and is looking forward to working where she plays! Since graduating with honours from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2012, she has worked at several small animal practices. She enjoys the areas of soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and dermatology. She is a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA), Canadian Academy of Veterinary Dermatology and is Fear Free certified. Erin shares her life with her husband Jeff and 4 fur kids - 2 German Shepherds (Penny and Juno) and 2 adorable kitties named Benny and Fig. She can give you endless advice on which vacuums pick up dog hair the best. In her free time, Erin enjoys taking her dogs for walks at the Beaches, sampling and finding the best chocolate desserts (cake, cookie, pie...she's not picky!) and coming up with her next home projects.
Amanda has been living in the Danforth area for over 10 years and is excited to be starting a new clinic in her community! She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2009 with honours and has been working in small animal practices since. Her professional interests include internal medicine and behaviour medicine and she is fear free certified. When not at the clinic, Amanda enjoys hiking and birding, cooking (and eating!) and exploring all the local places to eat and shop (La Di Da boutique and Dough bakery are 2 of her favourites). She is kept busy by her 2 active and lively daughters, Hailey and Paige and her husband John. Ruling the roost are her 2 cats, Birken and Mr. Nibbles - who definitely lives up to his name!
Steve has been a veterinary technician since 2012, and received his diploma in veterinary technology in 2016 at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia where he is from. He is very grateful to be a part of the Broadview Veterinary team as one of his career goals has always been to build a clinic from the ground up and watch it grow.
Steve's favourite part of being a Veterinary Technician is putting families back together and experiencing the joy when an animal is reunited with their owners after an appointment or hospital stay. Fun fact, if you ever see a man riding his bike through the city with the company of an adorable pup that's Steve and his Shih Tzu, Shobi (so make sure to say hello)! During his free time Steve is a self-proclaimed foodie and globetrotter, he loves trying out different restaurants and travelling the world!
Rebecca graduated from Sheridan College’s Veterinary technician program in 2016 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician a few months later. After working in multiple clinics across Toronto, she joined the BVH team in November 2023. Rebecca enjoys being able to improve the health and well-being of all the 4-legged patients that she works with. She spends all of her free time with her beloved French bulldog, Charlie as well as her husband. Together they love to escape the city, seeking out new places to grab a snack and see the sights.
Katherine is an east coast native who has lived in Toronto for nearly a decade now. Having grown up spending her time volunteering at local vets and SPCA's, and working as a dog walker, she decided to become a Veterinary Assistant in 2014 and has fallen in love with the job ever since. Katherine prides herself on her role in the clinic and being a part of the reason her patient's vet experience goes smoothly. In 2017 Katherine opened her home to her loveable rescue named Martha. When not at work or walking her pup, Katherine is devoting her time to her second passion: art! She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in the 1990s and puts her skills to use through photography, drawing and paper arts!
Kendra spent her summers at her grandparents’ farm in Northern Ontario and discovered a love of all creatures great and small at a very early age. She was welcomed into the world of veterinary medicine in 2019, and quickly developed a passion for the industry. She shares her heart with her Golden Retriever, Miller, who is a determined troublemaker and keeps her spare time very occupied. When she is not at work, she enjoys time in nature or a good road trip. She looks forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members!
Edith spent her childhood growing up with a menagerie of pets! She had dogs, guinea pigs and lizards. She discovered the joys of cats upon 2017 when she got her first one, Mila. Since then she has acquired 2 more cats and is a proud cat lady. Edith recently started in the veterinary world in 2022 and enjoys greeting all the 4-legged family members that walk through our door. In her spare time, she is an avid reader and Western novels are her favourite. She also enjoys cooking and expanding her vegetarian palette.
